Tribunal de Justiça (EN)

This peculiar example of Art Deco style features ornaments inspired by the Mayan architecture, base with a monumental Doric porch, and is crowned by two half-domes. Designed in 1933 by architect Felisberto Ranzini and opened in 1937 as the seat of the Stock Exchange, it later housed the State’s Department of Agriculture and, since 1977, is occupied by the First Civil Special Jurisdiction Appellate Court.
